Taylor Swift was spotted visiting a children’s hospital in Kansas City on December 12. Because of course she was. To surprise the patients (and staff), Swift stopped by Children’s Mercy Hospital, wearing a green plaid skirt-and-jacket set, and was recorded by several very enthusiastic nurses.
One nurse (per People), with charming specificity, captioned an Instagram post, “TAYLOR SWIFT WAS IN THE PROCEDURAL SEDATION UNIT‼️‼️ Best day ever!!!” Another person uploaded selfies of Swift and a patient to Facebook, writing, “Children’s Mercy Hospital does their best to nurse seriously ill children, comfort family, and bring a little joy when they can. Today did not disappoint! Thank you Taylor Swift for bringing some joy to Rylie today!!”
Being a woman who knows what the people want, Swift also made TikToks with some of the hospital’s patients, including one in which she danced to “Bad Blood” with a couple of newly minted Swifties. “Thank you for saying my outfit was tea,” Swift thanked one girl. One kid told the superstar, as Swift signed an Eras Tour book, “I like Travis [Kelce] now.”
Local news reported that Swift visited with patients for at least an hour, signing books and even singing with them. “Baylee was chosen since she requests Taylor songs during her uncomfortable procedures! Ya’ll she is amazing! On top of her sheer beauty she was just as kind and personable and down to earth,” said one patient’s mom.
This is a normal time to start crying, right?
