Noteworthy: Napierala helped the Lions to an eighth-place finish in the Division IV race at the CIF State cross country finals on Saturday by recording an individual time of 18 minutes and 34.1 seconds. She achieved the highest finish of all Daily News-area runners in the division by placing 21st individually out of 201 runners.
