Ariana Grande is finally putting those plastic surgery rumors to bed, joining the ranks of Megan Fox, Martha Stewart, and Olivia Culpo in confirming which cosmetic procedures she has and hasn’t done.
As for how we know she’s telling the truth? Well, the “Thank U, Next” singer addressed the rumors while hooked up to Vanity Fair’s notorious lie detector test. In the video, published September 30, Grande and her Wicked co-star Cynthia Erivo took turns interviewing about everything from the moon landing to whether or not they’re “workaholics,” and, of course, Grande’s alleged cosmetic procedures, while hooked up to a polygraph machine.
And they did not hold back. First, Erivo asked if Grande had ever gotten a nose job, to which Grande quickly replied: “No.” She then inquired about a “boob job” (or breast implants). “No! Can you imagine?!” Grande exclaimed.
“Did you get a face lift?” Erivo continued. “No…not yet. I'm open,” Grande said with a smile, to which the polygraph examiner confirmed she was being truthful. The operator’s nose job verdict, by the way? “She’s telling the truth.”
Grande could not have been more thrilled by this vindication. “This is the best day of my life! Take that, you YouTube people!” she exclaimed, seemingly addressing the countless internet sleuths who love to speculate about her appearance.
But the interrogation didn’t stop there: Erivo then asked if Grande had in fact gotten a “fox eye lift,” which is one of the most persistent rumors about Grande’s appearance. “No, but I discovered it through people who thought I did, and I said ‘thank you.’”
