Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce didn't stick around Kansas City long after the first Chiefs game of the season. On September 5, Swift went full bombshell to watch her boyfriend's team defeat the Ravens, rolling up to Arrowhead stadium in a denim corset and matching shorts with over-the-knee high patent leather boots—and she kept that same sartorial energy going into the weekend.
Instead of spending the weekend in KC, Swift and Kelce took advantage of a lull in their schedules—Swift is on a break from the Eras Tour, while the Chiefs don't play another game until next Sunday—to jet off to New York City for the weekend. Not long after they were spotted boarding Swift's private jet on September 6, the pair were photographed holding hands outside Lucali, a swanky brick-oven pizza joint in Brooklyn.
It seems Taylor Swift is sticking to a winning outfit formula, trading her red boots and denim set for an all-black version of the look. In photos shared by Page Six, Swift could be seen wearing a sheer black top and belted miniskirt with a pair of quilted knee-high boots that matched her handbag, topping everything off with a chic tuxedo blazer and some gold jewelry. According to one Instagram user, Swift has officially “entered her baddie era.”
While some Swifties will probably see this look as a Reputation (Taylor's Version) easter egg, it's very New Yorker of her to wear all-black in the last leg of summer. For his part, Kelce also looked the part in a sleeveless white knit sweater, striped trousers, and black sneakers, though it may be the “New York New York” baseball cap, gold chain, and handlebar mustache combo that made the overall look feel so Brooklyn. Though rumors of a split have been swirling all week, the only thing Taylor Swift appears to be breaking up with is her signature shade of red lipstick. After ditching her classic red pout for a brick red color at the most recent Chiefs game, she opted for a nude pink lip in Brooklyn. When it comes to makeup, it's clearly worth playing the field.
