I’m familiar with boob tape bras and with bra tops, but you rarely see a boob tape bra top, which is exactly what Taylor Momsen wore to a New York Fashion Week event on September 9.
The former Gossip Girl, current The Pretty Reckless front woman was photographed at KidSuper’s Funny Business Comedy Fashion Show in a topless ensemble comprised of oversized pants and a matching black coat, which she wore open to reveal just two squares of black tape over her breasts and a few silver necklaces. The coat and pants, worn tucked into Doc Marten combat boots, are patterned with what looks like X-Ray scans.

Momsen tends to favor heavy black eye makeup these days, but this time she switched it up in favor of a silvery purple shadow.
On Instagram, the rocker posted images of the look with the caption, “Virgin eyes and dirty looks and a great time with @kidsuper at one of the funnest fashion events I’ve ever been to! Thanks to @dougieplaylist and the whole team for having me!”
Taylor Momsen may have shed her innocent Gossip Girl brand long ago, but there are still those of us who can’t help but see little Jenny Humphrey, particularly during Little J’s “dark” phase, when we look at her. I don’t know about anybody else, but I think fashion designer Jenny would have approved of Momsen’s bold look here.
