Nearly three years after welcoming their first child, John Mulaney and Olivia Munn are introducing the world to their baby girl.
"Méi June Mulaney came into the world September 14, 2024, the year of the dragon🐉," Munn revealed in a touching Instagram post on September 22. According to Munn, her daughter's name ("pronounced may") means plum in Chinese. “I am so proud of my little plum, my little dragon for making the journey to be with us," she wrote. "My heart has exploded.”
After undergoing a double mastectomy and hysterectomy during her battle with breast cancer in 2023, Munn says she found a “real-life angel” in her gestational surrogate. “I had so many profound emotions about not being able to carry my daughter,” she wrote in her post. “When I first met our gestational surrogate we spoke mother to mother. She showed me so much grace and understanding, I knew I had found a real-life angel. Words cannot express my gratitude that she kept our baby safe for 9 months and made our dreams come true.”

John Mulaney and Olivia Munn are known to keep their relationship milestones close to the vest. While dealing with rampant speculation regarding the timeline of their relationship, Munn kept her pregnancy journey with son Malcolm Hiệp Mulaney quiet ahead of his birth in November 2024. Earlier this summer, People reported that Mulaney and Munn tied the knot “intimate” ceremony at a friend’s house in New York. Mulaney later confirmed the news during an interview on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
Clearly, it's been a summer worth celebrating for the family of four.
