Don’t believe everything you read. TMZ claimed to have exclusive intel on where Lana Del Rey got the dress she wore at her recent wedding (yes, to an alligator tour boat captain), but their information was wrong, according to the shop.
On September 28, the site published a report that the singer had thrifted her dress for under $400 from New Orleans vintage shop Trashy Diva, supposedly picking it up months before her wedding. It makes sense: Del Rey’s new husband is from Louisiana, and she’s totally the type to go vintage for her big day.
But not so fast. On September 30, the store posted a selfie Del Rey had originally posted back in May, apparently in a dress she got from the store: “🤠FYI Although Lana Del Rey did pick up some goodies from us recently, her wedding dress wasn’t the particular one she carried home.” So, the boutique is LDR-approved, but not the source of her wedding dress. The post also politely asked the celebrity news community to stop asking for a comment, writing, “so TMZ, you can quit calling… 🤣🥂Congratulations to the happy couple!”

That Trashy Diva dress was her chosen garment for a special outing with her fella, but not their wedding, just a hang.
