Meghan Markle can do it all—she can even make me want to purchase a pair of slim-fit capri pants in the era of all things wide-leg and baggy.
On August 15, Markle and Prince Harry arrived in Colombia, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend the Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children. As they travel throughout the South American country with Vice President Francia Márquez, the pair will “engage with leaders, youth, and women” on topics surrounding mental health and cyberbullying.
Upon their arrival in Colombia, Meghan Markle struck an elegant chord in a sleeveless navy suit featuring a buttoned-up halter vest and slim-fitted pants cut just above the ankle. She paired the look with a structured white work bag and classic black pumps, her hair pulled back in a sleek bun. You can see the look in full here.
Markle’s top appears to be the Orlinda Vest by Veronica Beard ($598), which she seems to have paired with the brand’s cropped Arte Pant ($448). The pant features a tailored fit with a slight flare at the ankle. This is the second time this summer the Duchess of Sussex has been seen in a halter vest, though her previous ensemble featured a much more relaxed fit.
Toward the end of July, Meghan Markle attended the G9 Ventures Summer Summit in New York alongside makeup mogul Bobbi Brown and fashion designer Misha Nonoo. For the occasion, Markle went with a relaxed linen set by St. Agni, pairing their Linen Helm Vest (now $225) with their Overlap Waist Trousers (now $309).
While this look also featured an arm-baring halter design, Markle paired the single-button vest with a wide-leg trouser draped all the way to the ground, pooling around her footwear.
