Does Lena Dunham know something we don't? As Taylor Swift's fans eagerly await news about Reputation (Taylor's Version), one of only two albums the musician has yet to re-release (the other being her eponymous debut), the Girls creator seemingly, maybe, possibly hinted at its imminent arrival. Maybe.
(Okay, technically Swift also has a Christmas album, but if she re-recorded that, it would be the surprise of a lifetime.)
“Was in my rep era for @taylorswift at Wembley,” Dunham wrote on Instagram Stories, previewing her all-black concert ‘fit (including darker hair). Dunham has been Swift’s close friend for over a decade, and was previously dating Swift's longtime producer Jack Antonoff; she now lives in London with her husband. The singer was even a bridesmaid in Dunham's wedding.
"Have seen her over a dozen times and each one more magical than the next," the writer-actor continued, in a post you can see on People. "Didn't even get more pics because I was dancing til I sweat through this bodysuit. #erastour for infinity."
Dunham is a Swiftie through and through, telling The New Yorker earlier this summer, “I’m always very careful to be protective of her in every single way. Probably the two things I get asked most in life are 'What is Taylor like?' and 'Can I have tickets to the Eras Tour?' And usually my answer to both things is no.”
But the answer to “what is Taylor like” is actually not “no,” it's, "[she's] everything that you would want her to be. She’s kind, she’s devoted, she’s introspective, she’s emotional, she’s funny as fuck."
And she is…releasing Rep TV soon? No? Honestly at this point I think it's like when your mom would say if you ask for this toy one more time you'll never get it. She wants to surprise us, so the more we predict, the longer she holds out. Or something like that.
