Olivia Pope and President Fitz—I mean, Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn—have reunited in the name of America.
On August 21, Washington shared two selfies with her Scandal costar from the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Both actors were in attendance to show support for Vice President Kamala Harris, who will be accepting her party's nomination for president of the United States on the final day of the convention, August 22.
“Giving the people what they want,” Washington captioned the selfies with Goldwyn on X.com, a statement that couldn't be more true. Fans of Scandal, a political drama starring Washington as renowned D.C. fixer Olivia Pope, have long appreciated the actor's chemistry with Goldwyn, who played her onscreen love-interest, President Fitzgerald Grant.

In fact, Washington and Goldwyn have kept the Olitz ship alive on TikTok years after the show's series finale in 2018. Back in June, Washington even posted a series of photos of Goldwyn as part of " The Black Wife Effect” trend on TikTok, much to fans' utter delight…and slight concern for the actors' actual, real life spouses.

More importantly, both Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn are staunch supporters of Kamala Harris and are serving as hosts of this year's DNC. While Goldwyn gave his speech on Day One of the convention, Washington is expected to take the stage on August 22.
