Kaia Gerber, tell us more!
The supermodel shared a lakeside snap of herself reading the novel Dear Dickhead by French author Virginie Despentes on Instagram on August 27, and it's not so much the title, but her caption and a highlighted passage that have us wondering: Who did Kaia Gerber dirty?!
“A book for someone I used to know,” she wrote beneath the two slides. The second photo showcases a rather damning passage from the novel, which reads: “At this point, your sheer dumbfuckery commands a certain respect. But it doesn't change the basics: I don't give a shit about you. All my love to your sister, she was a wonderful friend."

Gerber has limited the comments, probably to prevent fans from using her comments section as a forum to discuss potential villains. And honestly, we may never know who she's referring to, mostly because the 22-year-old keeps her relationships pretty private. She's been linked to her current boyfriend, Austin Butler, since December 2021.
However, given that Gerber specifically highlighted the phrase, “All my love to your sister, she was a wonderful friend," I have to believe that whomever wronged Gerber has a sister. Her publicly known relationships before Butler were with Pete Davidson and Jacob Elordi, both of whom have sisters. Just saying.
(There's also a chance that “someone that I used to know” has nothing to do with a romantic partner, but where's the fun in that!)
Dear Dickhead, which was translated from French, is available in the States on September 10. Per the book description, the story is about a novelist, Oscar, and an actor, Rebecca, who begin a correspondence amidst the #MeToo movement and Covid lockdowns.
Here's the official synopsis: Oscar is a B-list novelist in his forties. He used to be an alcoholic and a cokehead, but now he keeps himself busy by ranting on social media. When Rebecca, an actress whose looks he insulted, sends him an angry email, they strike up a combative correspondence—at the very moment that Oscar is accused of sexual harassment by his former publicist. What ensues is a no-holds-barred conversation about life under the patriarchy, and above all about addiction—to drugs, to alcohol, to the internet, to rage.
