Brooklynite hipster and Second Stepdaughter Ella Emhoff attended the Democratic National Convention in Chicago to support her dad and Momala (a.k.a. Vice President Kamala Harris), and she did it in her usual quirky style, carrying a purse with a chocolate chip cookie on it. If there’s a deeper meaning here, I missed it, but it’s very cute!
Emhoff, a 25-year-old artist and model, chose a Thom Browne suit for night two of the DNC (after a Helmut Lang tank and camo cap combo the night prior, which freaked people out for some reason), and accessorized with a disposable camera and the $545 cookie bag from up-and-coming brand Puppets and Puppets. No, that’s not a real cookie; it’s resin. (Better than raisin, amiright?)

In her Instagram dump from the night, the proud daughter beamed and cried watching her dad take the stage; she also posed with a big “Doug” sign—and in that photo you can also see she’s rocking two pimple patches. A true Zoomer, Ella.
“if you saw me cry on tv NO YOU DIDNT. Just kidding I was crying like a little baby. Very emotional sister and daughter over here. Proud doesn’t even begin to describe how I’m feeling after last night,” she wrote on Instagram. Commenters caught the vibe she was giving off, writing, “Most Brat First Family ever” and “Ella, you are going to EAT this fashion up at the inauguration!!”
Ella’s mom, Kerstin Emhoff, was also there to cheer the blended family on, and also wore Thom Browne.
