NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — It was a dangerous ride for some drivers in the Bronx after power lines fell across the Bruckner Expressway.
All eastbound lanes on the expressway were closed at Country Club Road, creating a major backup around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Some cars tried driving over the downed wires as firefighters pulled up to remove them.
Drivers were stuck for more than an hour, but the lanes have since reopened.
