NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — New York is starting a program to help families in need with free diapers.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the state is teaming up with the nonprofit group Baby To Baby.
The plan calls for 20 million donated diapers to be available for distribution at food banks.
Cuomo says even before the pandemic, one-third of families struggled to cover the cost of diapers.
