NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The cause of a deadly elevator accident in the Bronx is under investigation.
Rescue crews responded to a 911 call of a worker trapped at 133 East Clarke Place just after 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
Investigators say the mechanic was working in the shaft when the elevator fell on top of him.
The 25-year-old was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
