NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — One of the world’s largest consulting firms has agreed to pay $537 million for its role in the opioid epidemic in the United States.
Prosecutors, including New York’s Attorney General, say McKinsey & Company raked in millions of dollars by helping opioid companies market and sell their drugs.
The money will go to 47 states involved in the lawsuit to help fight the drug crisis.
